About Me

I am an academic who believes the role of a researcher is not only to better understand the world but also to improve it and I devote my time equally to both goals. I work as a research psychologist, social change strategist, and program evaluator.

I founded and run the See Change Institute, which brings together leading academics and practitioners to work on program strategy, implementation, research, and evaluation of behavioral programs for social and environmental change.

I also hold academic appointments as a Senior Fellow at the USC Norman Lear Center and as Founding Director of the Transformational Media Lab at UC Irvine and currently serve as the US Expert on the International Energy Agency's DSM Task 24 on Behavior Change and President of the American Psychological Association Division 34 (Environmental Psychology).
